Aims
There are two main learning goals of this course:
  1. To learn how to design a chemical batch process starting from a lab recipe including the design of the required unit operations as well as to make an economical evaluation of the process based on the base case design
 
  1. To learn the basics of a commercial discrete event simulation tool (in this case: INOSIM) and how to connect it to Excel to calculate the key performance indicators and analyse the results in the form of Gantt diagrams etc.
