The Electronics project is strongly linked to 202200176 - Low Frequency Electronics. In fact, the project can be viewed as the conclusion of that study unit, combining large signal design, small signal calculations, transistor amplifier stages, feedback and stability. In addition to the learning outcomes from Low Frequency Electronics, students should:
- Know and be able to analyze the various building blocks inside an opamp like differential pair, current mirror and amplifier stages
- Be able to translate a given design specification into a motivated circuit design and circuit parameters
- Design, simulate, build and measure circuits with transistors and test the achieved performance against the target specifications
- Work efficiently in small groups and write a coherent report and presentation that articulates scientifically the work performed

The topic of this project is the design and realization of an audio power amplifier. Students work in small project groups. With the knowledge and skills of the Low Frequency Electronics unit, a well-motivated design has to be made that fulfills the given specification. The design is built, measured, demonstrated and documented in a report.
