After the second CBL part the student is able to:
  • set personal learning goals, integrate them into their internship or academic skills project and their MSc-thesis project where applicable, and reflect on the results
  • organize and execute complex (design/research) processes, following the CBL approach
  • work effectively in a (multi-disciplinary) team and take up the appropriate role
  • determine, derive, and incorporate the knowledge and skills needed into their work
In the second part of the MSc Robotics curriculum, no compulsory courses are scheduled and therefore there is no explicit CBL project.
However, students are still asked to define their own learning goals for the things they are working on (e.g. internship and MSc thesis project) and reflect on them. Furthermore, the complex processes they are going through in their internship and MSc-thesis project also require the students to determine and acquire lacking knowledge. A reflection on the process, the choices made during the process, and the possible impact of their work are part of the portfolio of this second CBL 'course'. Besides these components that were already there in the first part, there is also room for keeping track of exploring (new) research domains, personal research questions (curiosity), interesting literature, and notes of meetings.

There are no lectures or working groups in this second CBL part. All the work is done individually by the students. Intermediate feedback is provided by the CBL teacher, who assesses (pass/fail) the portfolio at the end of the MSc-thesis project.

This 'course' is only for MSc Robotics students.
