Aims
After this course students are able to:
  • Automate the use of other software using a python script
  • Numerically solve a differential equation in python

Content
This is a part of Module 5, Safety and Risk in Deltas of the Bachelor Civil Engineering. See here for the complete description of this module.

The course is a follow up of the course ‘Introduction to Programming in Engineering 1’, in which the basics of programming in the language python were given. This course gives an introduction to use python to numerically solve differential equations, which often form the basis of computer models. During the course you will also learn how to automate existing models using a python script in a structured manner.
