The Theme Research component is, as the name suggests, oriented towards research related to the theme of the study tour. As such, the learning goals are all related to the research capabilities of participants, their ability to independently acquire new knowledge and incorporate this into their personal development.

In the course, participants will perform research in one of the tracks connected to the course. The theme specialization is supervised by different researchers from the University of Twente.
