This Combined Final Project is meant for students, carrying out a final project as part of a combined EEMCS master’s programme Electrical Engineering/Systems & Control/Computer Science. The rules for a combined master’s programme within the EEMCS faculty are given in the Education and Examination Rules of Electrical Engineering, Systems & Control, and Computer Science section A, Article A3.6 (all programme EERs have a common section A).
Study Load
The study load of the combined final project is 70EC, being the total study load of largest project (40EC) plus 3/8 of the study load of the two other projects (15EC and 15EC resp.). The combined final project replaces the final projects of the separate master’s programmes. As such, a reduction in the total study load of 50EC is obtained.
Approval by the examination board
For a combined final project, each student must submit a request for approval by the examination board, based on a project plan.
Supervision and assessment
The setup and organisation of the combined final project must satisfy the requirements of the separate final projects. The project must be supervised by a common graduation committee, at least containing a senior examiner from each of the three master’s programmes EE, S&C and CS.
