The student:
- Can summarize data numerically and present data graphically (with SPSS) and can evaluate whether observed data are normally or exponentially distributed, including a test on normality;
- Can apply estimation theory, confidence intervals, and tests on hypotheses for contextual problems given as one sample, two samples and contingency tables, including some nonparametric alternatives.
