RemarksCreaTe GP is a supervised project without a fixed location and an indicative roster; enrolment by module coordinator
Application procedure-
Registration using OSIRISNo
Aims
Students work on the second part of their Graduation Project and execute the CreaTe design process. They learn to:
  1. elicit (stakeholder) information to describe the problem statement of a design project
  2. apply academic principles (i.e. search for literature, write a review) to perform state-of-the-art research, including
    1. techniques of effective information search
    2. ways to work with scientific articles and how to evaluate them
    3. conventions used in literature citation and referencing
  3. define a research question based on state-of-the-art research and additional design context exploration
  4. apply knowledge and skills acquired during the Creative Technology program in an integrated manner
  5. autonomously develop and refine new knowledge and new skills
  6. work independently and systematically on a large design project
  7. transfer knowledge in a domain-specific environment using appropriate communication modalities
Content
This study unit consists of the second part of the CreaTe Graduation Project (GP II). This study unit builds upon its accompanying part in the previous module Real World Perspective.
GP II focuses on the execution of the CreaTe design process. This multi-phase process allows the student to use the previously specified research question to:

1) develop multiple concepts of the envisioned product or service and select the preferred concept with stakeholder involvement (Ideation phase),
2) specify the functional requirements of the preferred concept (Specification phase),
3) realize a working prototype of the envisioned product or service (Realization phase), and
4) evaluate the envisioned product or service with stakeholder involvement. GP II concludes with a thesis, and a public presentation about the results of performed research.

If you want to enroll, please contact R.G.A. Bults, r.g.a.bults@utwente.nl .
