LEARNING GOALS
The master assignment is the final test wherein the student has to show that he is able to function independently on an academic level and to make a contribution to the research of the master track Human-Technology Relations.

 
Inhoud
INTRODUCTION
With a Master Assignment the study of Industrial Design Engineering is finished. In this assignment the student has to show that they is capable to do research and develop a design on an academic level. This capability can be proved by carrying out fundamental or applied research or by the realization of an innovative product design. Innovative either because of the result or because of the methods followed. The master assignment is done in a company, at a university, a research institute, or societal organization.

CONTENT
The research themes of the sections Interaction Design, Human Centered Design, Product Market Relations and/or Packaging Design - should play a role in the master assignment.

RELATION TO OTHER COURSES
The assignment is the application of many courses followed by the student in their personal master programme (ISP)..

FORM OF EDUCATION
Individual work. Before the start of the project the student has to make a Plan of Approach, including deliverables and planning. The Plan of Approach must be approved by the Mastertrack coordinator.

EXAMINATION
The master assignment is reviewed by a commission existing of at least three persons: the professor of one of the chairs associated with the Human-Technology Relations track, a (assistant/associate/full) professor being the daily supervisor, and another professor from the University, but not belonging to the same chair. An external supervisor can be invited to participate in the exam as an advisor. For further information, see the "Workflow Human-Technology Relations” document.".
