Module description
Semester 6 is the last Semester of the programme ‘BSc Mechanical Engineering’. This semester consists of two blocks: semester 6a ‘thermal and Fluid Engineering ‘and semester 6b the ‘Bachelor Assignment’

Semester 6a (block 16) consists of related courses and a project concerning Thermal and Fluid Engineering. This block aims at learning to understand and apply the disciplines of fluid mechanics and heat transfer in the context of mechanical engineering problems. The block consists of three courses and a project: Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Mathematics: Vector Calculus, and Project & Academic Skills 5: Thermal & Fluid Engineering.

Semester 6b (block 17 and 18) concerns the finalization of the programme. The focus is on Research Skills and coherent with the preparation and execution of a BSc Graduation Assignment.  A final Continuous Assessment test makes sure that the ability to integrate the programme basic concepts, over course boundaries, is covered.

Please note: This course takes place in Amsterdam and is only accessible for BSc UT-VU ME students.
