At the end of this course, the student is able to:
- Have a basic understanding of the cultural differences between Australia and New Zealand and their home country.
- Understand the theories of intercultural communication.
- Apply these theories in research.
- Design a research plan, collect data and analyse the data gathered regarding Sustainable Development Goals as part of the theme life and technology.
- Review reports of country-specific environments and challenges, and their impact on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals for these countries.
- Present and discuss their research results on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals of Australia and New Zealand and how these differ from their home country.

This course is part of a two-course program aiming at preparing the participants for the study trip “Breath of Technology” to Australia and New-Zealand organised in the academic year 2020-2021. This course focuses on creating awareness of relevant cultural factors that might affect technological innovations. The students will learn about cultural differences between the countries visited during the study trip and their home countries.
