Upon completion of this course the student is able to:
- Independently study and understand a mathematical text of reasonable complexity.
- Give a formal and complete mathematical reasoning and explain this to fellow students.
- Provide a proof for a mathematical problem of reasonable complexity and write this proof in a mathematically formal and precise way.
Prooflab III is a continuation of Prooflab I and II, which were, respectively, part of Modules 1 and 2 in the Applied Mathematics Bachelor Curriculum.|
Prooflab III consists of two Team-based Learning sessions.
The focus remains on a structured way of thinking and on being able to express the ideas formally. This will be done on the basis of some topics from analysis that will also be useful in later modules.
