Prooflab II is a continuation of Prooflab I in Module 1 of the Applied Mathematics Bachelor Curriculum. Prooflab II consists of two three-hour Team-based Learning sessions and a project, which is evaluated by a written report. All of the TBL sessions involve material from the different parts of the module. In two of the TBL sessions, students learn to critically read and evaluate propositions by discussing multiple choice questions in groups. In the other two TBL sessions, students learn how to formally write down a proof, by working on some of the more challenging proofs of the module parts, and by peer-review. For the prooflab project, students study a classic proof from literature. The students are evaluated by a written report, but the last part is a presentation session, where students can show what they have learned.
