- The student is able to describe various aspects typical of The field of Creative Technology (example products, societal context, processes and issues in The field)
- Students can reflect on their personal motivations, ambitions and expectations as a professional in The field and can describe, to a certain extent, their own position in this field (“Me as a Creative Technologist”)
- The student is aware of issues of academic integrity, and can participate in discussions concerning this topic
- The student is able to participate actively in Creative processes such as brainstorming sessions
- The student is able to contribute in a constructive manner to The group processes in a Project (such as: planning, collaboration, communication and organization)
- The student can recognize possible roles that one can take in a Project or Creative development process, especially his/her own role.
- Students are aware of relevant cultural factors in collaboration and communication and have some experience exploring these
- The student knows something about story structures and has some experience using such structures in a video Project
- The student has the necessary basic skills in working with video to plan, shoot, and finalize a small video production
- The student has experience with autonomously acquiring additional technical skills to complete a Project

This study unit introduces the student to the field of Creative Technology and the first experience with project work in this curriculum.
During a series of lectures and workshops we will cover various topics from Creative Technology as field and as curriculum. We will talk about the process of creation, about users, society, and impact, and discuss various aspects of being a Creative Technology professional.
Furthermore, this study unit covers various angles into collaboration, professional roles one can take, and issues of intercultural communication.
Finally, this study unit also involves the group project of the module, in which participants have to collaborate to make an interactive video, in project groups of approximately five persons. To support this, there are lectures, tutorials, and feedback sessions concerning storytelling and scripts as well as working with video and cameras.
