Aims

At the completion of this course, the student will;

  • identify linear second-order partial differential equations,
  • apply various analytical approaches to solve hyperbolic, parabolic and elliptical partial differential equations.
Content

Contents

This course introduces students to some of the classical topics in mathematical physics. The three classical types of linear second order partial differential equation will be considered, including analytical ways to solve them.
