After passing this module part the student;
- Set up and carry out scientific research systematically, including experimental skills such as use of equipment, documentation and safe practices.
In this course on Engineering Systems, the student will learn to construct (a set) of linear differential equations from physical systems in the Electrical and mechanical domain, starting from the element equations of the identifiable elements and the continuity equations. Characteristics of the differential equations as well as of the solutions are related to the physical behavior of the systems. The technique of Laplace transform will be applied to efficiently solve these differential equations. Formulism in transfer functions and their characteristics will be used in analyzing physical systems. These characteristics of these systems will also be explored by means of a state-space description and corresponding characteristic. This course contains a project in which the student will learn to program a micro-controller in Python, to read sensors and steer servo-motors in order to make a small autonomic system.|
