Aims

At the end of this course, the student will be able to;

  • design and realise multi-component electronic circuits,
  • test and analyse multi-component electronic circuits,
  • Systematically design and carry out research in connection with experimental skills such as use of equipment, documentation and safety aspects.
Content

Instrumentation allows the students to get acquainted in a practical way with important components of the analog electronics. In this introductory practical, students design, build and test an optical LED photodiode transmitter-receiver circuit. From the application the operation of a number of passive and active electronic components is taught, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, photodiodes. LEDs, transistors and opamps.
