Aims
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
  1. carry out simple and multiple regression analyses on a given data set using R software
  2. interpret all standard output of simple regression and multiple regression using R
  3. demonstrate the correct use the basic concepts of inference: confidence intervals, standard errors, t-tests and null hypothesis testing and p-values, and know the distinction between the sample data and the population that one wants to make inferences about.
Content
This study unit about data analysis teaches students how to investigate differences between groups and the relationship between variables. This part includes the principles of hypothesis testing, calculating and interpreting confidence intervals and describing and interpreting relationships between variables. This will be done using the R software package.
