After completing the internship the student has:
a) acquired knowledge of a relevant organization in his future professional field;.
b) gained experience and skills that are useful for his professional perspective;
c) obtained insight in his wishes and preferences, strong and weak points;
d) answered a relative complex research question that us relevant for the internship organization and the MS&T / PGaB -programme.

The student does an internship of at least four months (640 hours) at an organization that is clearly related to the public sector, but not necessarily in a government agency. There is adequate supervision, preferably from an academic. The student has to write a reflection report of 5 pages (1500-2000 words) and a research report of 15-20 pages (5000-6000 words). The assessment is a pass or a fail (no grade) and is done by the internship coordinator and the internal supervisor from the University of Twente (in consultation with the external supervisor).

Mandatory: 90 EC registered at 1 August, including a successfully completed first year (60 EC) of the study programme.
