At the end of the study unit work field and job orientation the student will be able to:
- picture the work field of psychologists by means of a literature review and an interview
- link their needs and pitfalls to the characteristics of a job
- identify the major mechanisms job orientation and work field
- make personal conclusions about the work field of psychology
- present themselves to the job market in a professional way
- Identify their own strongest and weakest points
- take the perspectives of others into account
- take in new information without judgment
- Stepping back from their own point of view

In the work field and job orientation component, the focus will be on Putting own opinions aside and postpoing judgment. By doing so, you might profit from other perspectives: in gaining an overview, regarding your career choices, your perception of your qualities and weaknesses and so on. You will have the opportunity during the work field and job orientation component to create a more realistic and balanced view on yourself and on the jobs.
