Inhoud
During the classes of the Applied Communication Skills study unit, you have the opportunity to combine the knowledge about communication, the Rogerian conditions, attunement and change of perspective during concrete experiences via the method of experiential learning. But, without the feedback and input of others, you don't make progress. For understanding how to bridge the gap between your perspective and others, you need the perspective of others. In normal life, we will encounter difficulties in communication, problems with attunement and differences in perspectives, but we won't discuss the ins and outs in detail, the way we will do it in a course on communication. For the discussion, you need the perspective of others: you depend on others and others depend on you.

In the first part of the module, we will focus on the conversation between two persons in which you have the professional role of guiding the conversation. You will learn a set of skills to fill your personal and proferssional toolbox, but more importantly, you will also learn how to use these and other skills in attuning to others. In the second part of the module we will focus on communication within groups, in which you have the role of being in charge of the group and will learn to be sensitive to what a group needs.
