Module description
The Research Methods and Research Project module introduces students to conducting scientific research. The student is specifically able to:
  1. conduct the entire empirical cycle of a scientific study under supervision of a teacher, in which students can search identify a research question, search literature, form hypothesis, design a study, collect data, interpret the results adequately and write up a scientific report.
  2. present the results of their results in a comprehensible and easy to understand manner using a poster presentation.
  3. understand and apply a number of different psychological research methods and their associated analytical techniques, research design and research presentation in oral and written form .

As a psychologist in the making not only do you want to be able to identify existing problems, but also
to be able to research and solve them in a systematic and substantiated manner. Knowledge and
experience of different research methods and techniques is of great importance in this respect; not
only after your education in professional practice, but also in the short term for your Bachelor thesis (in
B3) and in preparation for a possible master specialisation. In this module, your knowledge and skills
related to research methods and techniques from earlier modules will be deepened and expanded and
you will acquire specific experience setting up, conducting and presenting research.
