- explain, describe, and apply theories and models regarding organization-related, technology-related, and design-related sub disciplines of communication science (1.2, 1.3, 1.4).

This course develops the students’ knowledge and understanding of the basics of communication science related to the three main themes of the Bachelor program: Changing organizations, Digital society, and Persuasive tech. The core communication science theories will be discussed in this course, and students will study the role of communication in the context of global challenges. Specifically, this course covers theories of intercultural communication, organizational communication, and media and persuasive communication. The acquired theoretical knowledge and insights are applied in the Project course and tested through an individual written, open-ended exam (1T1).
This study unit is part of the module We connect society. Because the four study units, which are part of the module, are highly related to each other it is not possible to follow this study unit separately.
