See here for the compete description of this module. Surveys or measurements may results in data from users. In the statistics module part a student learns how to work with these data, how to interpret it and how to draw conclusions from the data. In particular, first the basics of probability theory are explained. Thereafter, attention is paid to calculating confidence intervals, which are robust estimates of data parameters, and testing hypotheses using the data. This statistics module part provides a solid basis needed for learning how to set up a quantitative evaluation of user-data external students who are interested in this elective: please contact: h.m.hemmer@utwente.nl
