Cursusdoelen
After successfully finishing this part of the course a student is able to:
  • work with tensors.
  • calculate stresses (force equilibrium, etc.).
  • explain deformations (strain) based on material theory.
  • apply 3D elasticity material theory on components of a construction.
  • understand and describe material behaviour other than elasticity.
  • evaluate and understand the results of a stress/strain/energy calculation.
  • recognize the problem at hand and simplify it based on the interpretation of elasticity theory
