In semester 4 ‘Technology for Healthcare’, attention is paid to Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Smart Industry, Finite-Element Analysis for personalized production. In the projects, the focus will be on analysis, design and manufacturing of personalized medical devices. Project 4 deals with more advanced ways of designing, analyzing, and manufacturing, that all relate to Semester 1 (Manufacturing). In general, Block 10 presents relatively new contents (Mechatronics). Block 11: Smart Industry relates to Manufacturing 2 (Semester 3), and FEM relates to Dynamics (Semester 3). Block 12: Systems Engineering presents relatively new contents. The required (project specific) knowledge will be obtained from the earlier and parallel courses. Below you find a semester overview which shows subjects like course, ECs per block, examiners, and assessment criteria with the relations with the Final Qualification per subject.
Please note: This course takes place in Amsterdam and is only accessible for BSc UT-VU ME students.
