This is a part of Semester 3 of the Bachelor Mechanical Engineering (UT-VU) See here for the compete description of this semester.
SIGNAL ANALYSIS is the first course in the CONTROL & PRECISION ENGINEERING learning line.
This course starts with an introduction of signals in the time and frequency domain and the conversions between them with fouriertransforms. Attention is paid to the aspects of sampling (time-discrete signals). It then examines the modelling of electrical systems, i.e. systems in which quantities (i.e. electrical current and voltage) are explicitly a function of time. A systematic approach is given for the modeling (differential equations (DE) and block diagrams) of electrical circuits with resistors, capacitors, coils and operational amplifiers (OpAMPS).
Please note: This course takes place in Amsterdam and is only accessible for BSc UT-VU ME students.
