The UN has defined Sustainable Development Goals, urgent calls for action related to grand challenges. Showing societal leadership means that you are prepared to take up societal challenges and take the lead in actions that contribute to reaching these development goals. In this course we will connect global challenges with local actions, histories with futures, academic with societal perspectives, action with reflection, and critical modes with creative modes of thinking. |
Basis of the course is a challenge-based project with multiple real-life stakeholders, in which you will create an ambitious yet realistic plan for a transdisciplinary innovation that contributes to reaching one of the sustainable development goals (sustainable cities and communities). This course also contains a number of engaging workshops, which are aimed at developing your knowledge and skills as a societal leader. Guest-lectures from academia and practice provide inspiration for your project and the theme of the course.
This course is part of the Transdisciplinary Master-Insert Programme ‘Shaping Responsible Futures’
