After the course, students will be able to:
1. Describe geographic phenomena and explain the concepts related to spatial data modelling of these phenomena
2. Explain the structure, components, and benefits of a relational spatial database
3. Explain data retrieval concepts (attribute and spatial queries)
4. Classify and explain spatial analysis functions in a raster and vector environment
5. Reflect on selected applications of GIS for transportation
6. Apply GIS concepts and methods in a practical assignment by:
a. Structuring GIS network data and carry out network analysis
b. Modelling transport accessibility by different modes
