Learning goals
At the end of this course, students will be able to;
  • Define the role of design at different levels behavior change.
  • Identify the factors (individual, social, environmental etc) that affect the behavior change.
  • Identify opportunities and potential areas for influencing behavior through design.
  • Design interventions by evaluating the models and frameworks of behavior change.
  • Demonstrate skills to analyze and reflect on design decisions for changing behavior through design.
Content
This course focuses on the role of design at various levels of behavior change. It consists of theory lectures and a design project. The course covers several topics that have been explored in various studies such as health and well-being, social design and sustainability. Throughout the course, students will iteratively develop interventions by following the provided strategies for behavior change. At the end, students make a final presentation of the project.
