The course result (pass/fail) will be based on preparation for, attendance and active participation in the course elements Science Research Writing and publishing, Writing a research article or research proposal, Self-assessment and Apotheosis. In addition, during the course element Science Research Writing assignments will be prepared and discussed.
In Writing a research article or research proposal either a completed research article or the completed research proposal will be assessed. Students will receive feedback in three individual coaching sessions, of which the final one is also the final assessment of the research proposal or research article. When students write a research proposal they receive additional coaching on writing a research proposal.
In Self-assessment a self-assessment report will be written in which students reflect on their professional development as well as students will participate in a focused group discussion to discuss and deepen their reflections. In groups, students will organise a final workshop (for a broader audience) and will conduct the workshop during the final course element Apotheosis.
All written assignments (e.g. preparations, presentations, self-assessment, article or proposal) have to be filed in the individual portfolio on Canvas.
All components require to be passed. End marks will be given in terms of pass or fail. When failing one of the components a replacing assignment of equal value has to be conducted.
