The student is able to:
 
       Explain the possibilities and limitations of the imaging modalities ultrasound, x-ray, CT, and MRI
       Apply imaging techniques to get the best possible image for diagnosis and therapy
 
During this course the four abovementioned imaging modalities will be discussed. The prerequired knowledge, course content, and learning objectives apply for all these modalities. The final grading is also equally divided amongst these four modalities.
Inhoud
Content (4 topics): Imaging techniques CT, X-ray, MRI and ultrasound; acquisition and reconstruction of images on all modalities.
 
Students got basic knowledge and skills in imaging in the bachelor program. In this course students will learn the imaging techniques CT, X-ray, MRI and ultrasound in depth. Students will learn to manipulate the imaging equipment and reconstruct the image to get the best possible result for diagnosis and therapy. Also selection and combination of techniques are part of the course. The course will include several hands-on sessions.

Assessment: Written exam, group assignments will be practical reports of all modalities.
