Get acquainted with the latest thinking in operations management. The course objectives are:

• Student has an overall understanding of integrating new production concepts in a firm's operations function;
• Student knows the state-of-the-art in the literature about key topics involving technology in operations management;
• Student knows how to get track of the latest academic research;
• Student is able to use/apply the theoretical concepts in real-life cases or in developing conceptual models;
• Student is able to synthesize concepts described in academic articles and apply these to different settings;
• Student knows how to write an (academic) article.
