The learning goals of this course strongly depend on the topics and/or
aspects conjointly determined by student and teacher.
During product development, the large majority of processes is related to information and knowledge processing. Many companies (and their designers) do not fully understand and exploit this relation. This course focuses on effective and efficient design(er) support based on information and knowledge management.
In product development, the role of information and knowledge becomes increasingly important. As development cycles and anticipated life cycles become more and more complex, the designer is facing an overwhelming amount of factors to take into account. With the help of information and knowledge management, the designer can adequately address and prioritize these factors. This course provides the opportunity for an (individual) in-depth study of specific topics related to information and knowledge management.
