INTRODUCTION
During product development, the execution and control of all interrelated processes that together constitute the product development trajectory is extremely complex. Moreover, this execution and controll have to address extremely varying topics and aspects. In companies, hardly anyone (or no-one at all) will be able to understand, overview and govern the full spectrum of processes that is involved in product development. Yet, it is the goal to effectively and efficiently develop new products.
CONTENT
It is the goal of this course to analyze, apply and engender existing and new methods in the governing of processes in product development. Approaches for this range from literature studies, via case studies to the structured execution of (parts of) governing methods.This course provides the opportunity for an (individual) in-depth study of specific topics in the field of Management of Product Development.
RELATION TO OTHER COURSES
The course is situated as an advancement of (some of) the mandatory subjects of the MPD track.
