Learning goals
Software Product Line Engineering is essential for companies which develop family of products such as various kinds of medical equipment, mobile phones, TV sets, car systems, banking products, etc. ADSA-PLE focuses on designing software architectures in a software product line engineering environment and related topics. Software Product Line is a set of software-intensive systems sharing a common, managed set of features that specify the specific needs of a particular market segment and that are developed from a common set of core assets. Software product line engineering (SPLE) is the process for setting up a software product line to support large scale reuse and multi-system development. This course will focus on the SPLE process, the modeling approaches and the common risks and benefits of SPLE. After completing this course successfully, the student can:
•        Explain the key concepts in Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE).
•        Apply the principles of SPLE and set up an SPLE project
•        Explain the risks and benefits of an SPLE approach.

The course has some characteristics that the students should be aware of:
•        During the course, the performance of individual students and their groups will be followed closely for the purpose of increasing the performance of the students, if possible.
•        The teaching method of this course adopts an interactive approach where the schedule of the lectures and project meetings are interchangeable so that the course is steered according to the performance of the students.
•        The course hours can be used interchangeably for lectures, presentations, project meetings, group meetings and/or for self-study; the schedule updates will be announced at least one week before the date.
•        The attendance is compulsory unless a permission is granted by the lecturer.
