Learning goals
Content
Several intermediate and advanced optimization models will be built on the basis of concrete problem descriptions. Most of these models are constructed during the lecture hours by the course participants in close collaboration with the instructor. Following each lecture, the models are implemented and tested using a professional modeling system. The various optimization models cover such types as linear programming, integer programming, network programming and nonlinear programming. In the advanced models, several algorithmic aspects such as column generation techniques will be discussed and applied.
