Hands on experience with "advanced semiconductor devices"

Course description
After an introduction into the developments in the field and challenges of state of the art Semiconductor Devices, its functioning, manufacturing and operational lifetime students choose a topic for an individual literature study. There will be a mid term and a final presentation. The course grade is based on the final presentation and final report.
Example topics are: deep-submicron device, steep slope devices, silicon-on-insulator devices, RF applications or molecular electronics. Self heating in chips, functioning of electronics in extreme environments
Outside quarter B2 , this course "Semiconductor Project" can be finished by an individual assignment that is based on a literature study, device characterization or circuit simulations. Contact teacher for more information
