This course provides the student with insights and specific tools and techniques to be able to identify emerging new technologies, analyze their potential value in the field of civil engineering and construction and develop roadmaps for implementing new technologies successful.   Inhoud The PDEng course Technology Development and Management (TDM) in civil engineering and construction addresses the following learning objectives: Capable to develop a New Business development plan for new innovations Capable to develop a technology roadmap for the business innovation portfolio of an organization Therefore required: Insight about the application of scenario analysis and option theory Insight about emerging technologies in the field of civil engineering and construction (e.g. sustainable energy systems; IT & 3D printing; Robotics; sensor technologies; new materials such as composites; big data analysis and management) Insight in the context of innovation in the field of civil engineering and construction Insight in the organization and management of innovation processes Insight about the implications of developing new products and systems in networks and alliances Insight in the adoption process of innovation in civil engineering and construction Insight in innovation stimulating policies and innovation stimulating tendering procedures Verplicht materiaal Studiemateriaal Phaal, R. and Probert, D.
